A few questions we get asked by prospective clients
1. What is your process for designing and building a website?
Step One: Scoping - We sit down with you over coffee (or tea) and discuss your requirements. We find out who your competitors are, what you wish to achieve from your site and ask you to list a couple of websites you like the style of amongst other things.
Step Two: Design - We go away and create a masterpiece for you. We will design you a site tailored to suit your business and fit in with your brand.
Step Three: Implemetation - Once you are happy with the design, we integrate it into our Content Management System, ExpressionEngine.
Step Four: Training - When we have created the shell for you, we will get together and run you through the admin side of things.
Step Five: Go live - Once you have input all your content we make your site live. We work with you during the following months to make sure everything is running smoothly.
2. Do you provide training for managing the new website?
Yes, we do provide you with training. We normally spend an hour with you entering in new data and uploading images to your site. That's generally all the time it takes.
3. Will I be able to make updates to the website myself without any special technical knowledge?
Most definitely. Our system is very easy to use, giving you more time to develop your site instead of reading the user manual!
4. What is your approach to Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)?
Our sites are coded to W3C Standards and are set up to be optimised for Organic Searching. We can assist you in running a Google AdWords campaign if you wish to do so.
5. What technologies do you use to build websites?
We have used several technologies from Microsoft ASP VBScript to Adobe Flash. At present we use ExpressionEngine, a PHP based system that we feel is very flexible and easy to use.
6. What Browsers do you support?
We design and build our sites to work in all the major modern browsers - Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer 7+. We do not support Internet Explorer 6.
7. What size businesses do you make websites for?
We will build a website for any size business, big or small. The majority of our clients are SMEs (Small to Medium Enterprises) like ourselves. We have a passion for what we do and love to get behind our clients and help them make their online venture a success.
